#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In the propulsive debut novel from the host of the #1 true crime podcast Crime Junkie, a journalist uncovers her hometown’s dark secrets when she becomes obsessed with the unsolved murder of her childhood neighbor—and the disappearance of another girl twenty years later.ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR: PopSugar You can’t ever know for sure what happens behind closed doors.Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January—and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she’s always been haunted by the feeling that it could’ve been her. And the worst part is, January’s killer has never been brought to justice. When Margot returns home to help care for her uncle after he is diagnosed with early-onset dementia, she feels like she’s walked into a time capsule. Wakarusa is exactly how she remembers—genial, stifled, secretive. Then news breaks about five-year-old Natalie Clark from the next town over, who’s gone missing under circumstances eerily similar to January’s. With all the old feelings rushing back, Margot vows to find Natalie and to solve January’s murder once and for all.But the police, Natalie’s family, the townspeople—they all seem to be hiding something. And the deeper Margot digs into Natalie’s disappearance, the more resistance she encounters, and the colder January’s case feels. Could January’s killer still be out there? Is it the same person who took Natalie? And what will it cost to finally discover what truly happened that night twenty years ago?Twisty, chilling, and intense, All Good People Here is a searing tale that asks: What are your neighbors capable of when they think no one is watching?

"⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ehh it was ok. Not up to the hype and though there were a couple of gasp worthy moments it was mostly fairly boring. The twist at the end was fine but not gasp inducing for me."

"It was ok book, it took me a while to get through, but I did figure it out early on. The twists were ok but not twisting enough. The only surprise was with one character that was called by two different names in two different timelines. Since I didn't know we are not talking about same person, that was a surprise lol. The boom addreses dementia and the hardship it bring to family as well. Over all an ok book, only 309 pages. Also, didn't like a part of the ending with the main femal Mc. I recommend though for mystery lovers with female sleuth. Enjoy

"It was decent enough. Would be a good read for someone new to the thriller genre. A couple good, but predictable twists for a seasoned thriller reader. Not a bad debut from Crime Junkies Ashley Flowers. "

"This is a very good “who dunnit” to the end. A little girl is dead at the bottom of the basement stairs. Shades of the JonBonet Ramsey case…. But different."

"<strong>The ending sucks</strong>
I enjoyed so many different aspects of this book. I did not like the ending. I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like cliffhangers -especially those that aren't going to be followed up with another book.
Until the ending, All Good People Here was well written. It flawlessly goes between timelines and narrators creating a captivating story. There are red herrings galore. The characters are well developed and not always lovable.
I thought Ashley Flowers did an amazing job with the substory- Margot came home to help her Uncle Luke who had early onset dementia. It was heartbreaking and real as Margot struggled with her ability to properly care for him and do her job a d the guilt at not being able to be there all the time.
So, maybe you should read it, but be warned that you'll basically have to create your own ending."
