Gilgamesh - Likewise Book Reviews

"I first encountered the Epic of Gilgamesh in college, but I found it unremarkable and even boring at the time. However, reading this rendition completely captivated me. The story is profoundly human, exploring the highs of friendship and brotherhood as well as the depths of loss, grief, and the fleeting nature of human existence. While we cannot live or be remembered forever, the ability to profoundly impact another person’s life to the point that they grieve our loss is one of the most beautiful aspects of being human."
