"Stargirl can be over the top sometimes. I am not a big fan of the manic pixie dream girl. The story still did a good job of telling the story that it wanted to tell."

"I read this when it was published as a kid. I loved it then, but I haven’t read it since the thousands of times I read it then. I even named my create your own American Girl doll after her 😂 "

"I completely recommend reading this when you are in high school or in your early twenties. Reading this at 23 years old was a different experience than when I read it in fifth grade. A cute story for those who are in a "reading slump". I finished chapters 4-7 on audible in less than one day. The ending is surprising and slightly gut wrenching and yet heart warming all at the same time."
