Topic: Velma

does anyone else feel like this was renewed for the algorithm and not for actual humans as I haven't seen a single good review of this show anywhere. I mean seriously how does a show with a 1.6 out of 10 imbd rating get renewed? yet all the shows we love get cancelled due to low ratings. something weird is going on in the industry for sure.

Narwhal I totally agree. It seems like there’s some sort of value in creating terrible shows… at least for the studios. Thoughts @joslyn ?

Rob Paul It’s HBO. They’ve been out of it since Covid.

Brandon Reed Velma was apparently greenlit for two seasons before the first season was even produced. Basically, they were going to make two seasons no matter how bad the first season was. But, yes, it makes it seem like there's no justice.
