Brandon Reed This is rapidly approaching trust territory, but no one with the ability to do something about it will ever even verbalize that, let alone address it -_-

Godzilla fan Smacks of desperation

Ryan I think, with both companies cutting back on the production of their streaming originals and having sparse theatrical slates, theyโ€™re just trying to manufacture a cancel-proof bundle. The Star Wars and MCU people are probably also into GoT and DC. FX has been trying to go after the HBO prestige seriesโ€™ audience for decades. Theyโ€™re hoping the combined fresh output will create permanent subscribers. It feels like a move made out of desperation, as Netflix has been absolutely clobbering them both. I just canโ€™t see them offering a big enough discount on the bundle to entice a lot of new subscribers. I wonder if this relationship will hold as both companies slates start ramping up in mid-2025.

Road Master Sounds like we're just moving ever closer to returning to the satellite and cable TV models.
