Topic: The Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love

Cute fantasy from the author of “The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels” comes a fun cozy romantasy soft the fans of “Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Fairies” and “Around the World in 80 days.” This book follows two rival ornithologist, Devon and Beth, who are racing against the clock to find a rare magical bird in order to secure a tenure position. This book is full of magical birds, rivals to lovers, and adorable writing.

Madison C I stumbled across this the other day and added it to my TBR. It looked really interesting, so I'm glad to see someone I trust give it a positive review! I have The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels right now, so hopefully if I like it I'll be able to check this book out soon!

Sarah Ortinau I liked it, but I felt the pacing was off. It seemed like the book would have the two characters come across a magical bird or crazy rivals, narrowly escape, then have close proximity to each other. I think that it’s really fun, and since there’s a lot of magical bird books coming out this fall, this definitely stands out. The I also really loved her characters and writing style, so I’ll definitely pick up the next book.
