New queer cinema
Films that where made between 1988 and 2022 that are indie films with lgbtq+ themes where the characters dont have to end up dead or miserable but when it does happen its usually because of true life events/issues usually has protagonists who are rejected by or rebelling against society but not in a overtly political way and there will also be uses of postmodernism and the color blue for the camera lens and a general arthouse style
