"I loved this. It made me miss my Mom even more than I already do. The grandson was so sweet with how he loved his grandmother. It's a bit of mischief that I enjoyed. Richard Roundtree (rest his soul)was charming ,as always. Recommended. "

Well, darn. I had built THELMA (2024) up in my mind to be an over-the-top, hilarious, laugh-out-loud slapstick comedy, picturing Thelma zipping around on her scooter and mowing down criminals. 😂👵🏼🛵💥 Instead, it turned out to be more of a light comedy, with much of the humor arising from the contrast between Thelma’s age and her unexpected vigilante actions, along with her amusing struggles with technology. 💻 While there were many #heartfelt moments and reflections on #aging, the film leans more toward a delightfully #charming #comedy, infused with a good dose of #emotional depth, rather than non-stop hilarity. That’s okay, even though a couple of scenes felt melancholy due to her reflections on aging. But best of all was the bond between Thelma and her grandson. 👵🏼💞🧑🏼‍🦱 "

"This cute, playful movie was a pleasant watch. Certain parts reminded me of my own Grandma and our strong bond. June Squibb is a delight, but I hoped it would be funnier, instead of mildly amusing. 7/10"

"Watched this with my girly the other night. It was perfect! June Squibb is outstanding! At 94 years old, I’ve seen her in so much the last few years and she does not disappoint! She’s hilarious! This movie is somewhat based on a true story which makes it sad, however .. there’s the comedy aspect as well. Good for the original actor!
