"I have mixed feelings on this one. I appreciated the depiction of the main character, a young girl who displays inappropriate sexual behaviors and a lack of boundaries after experiencing CSA for a large part of her adolescence. These are signs of CSA that we don’t talk about enough imo. I just wish that the acting and the writing had been a little more up to par with the serious subject matter. Simon gave me creepy vibes, even though he was supposed to be the “good” man. Saying, “It’s not like I haven’t thought about it” to a traumatized teenage girl??? Sir what do you mean by that. But I appreciate the movie for what it was trying to do even if I have some problems with the execution. I appreciated that the movie acknowledged how confusing it can be for young people when a person they love and trust violates them"
