"I saw this once before Tom Cruise creeped me out. That was enough. "

"Why was this so long?! It could have been an hour long and the same amount of things would happen. "

"Had the horrible idea of watching this with my mom, poor woman. Of course Kubrick was going to show the hottest women alive NAKED. Oh, and you can tell it’s Kubrick just by looking at the scenery.. like you can tell a Wes Anderson movie from its color palette. As always, watching Kubrick’s movies in the present makes no sense because what makes them special is how advanced they were for their time."

"Not really what I expected. I felt like a lot of scenes were unnecessarily long & dragged out. I probably would have turned it off sooner if I wasn’t so curious about where it was going "

"Certainly unexpected in many ways lol however I was still enthralled by the 'revealing' (sometimes revolting) bourgeoisie mystery. Very symbolic as per usual. It's my understanding that Kubrick couldn't make a terrible movie if he tried, but.. -I don't know I kinda wanted more from it and there is the issue of whether or not it was truly finished too. I recommend you watch it either way -maybe not my fav Kubrick but certainly more compelling than most contemporary blockbusters in production nowadays anyway"

"Really weird. Definitely a movie you need to watch twice to understand better. Maybe that isn't even enough tho lol"

"Very underrated IMO. Tom Cruise and Sydney Pollack in the red pool table room is easily in my top 3 favorite scenes in all movies/tv."

"Seeing how it was often described as being a erotic thriller, and bashed as being misogynistic, I expected an entirely different movie. This movie was neither, it was oddly beautiful. Kidman and Cruise were perfect. You follow the protagonist (Cruise)'s emotional journey throughout the movie, one that is tainted with jealousy but also desires, both for adventure and stability. A lot of symbolism through the movie, worth reading further on after you've watched it. "
