"Interesting but emotionally draining due to the subject matter. Beautifully made. "

"Although I did enjoy it and it has great animation, it feels more like a propaganda piece rather than a proper movie to me. "

"it was really good, the composition was truly amazing. i only have two complaints. the first was the beginning was a little too slow. the second is a bit more complicated than that.
the mc says something along the lines of "we cannot surrender to violence." ma'am. you are living in a war. war is violence. you cannot possibly so naive to think that a WORLD WAR would end neatly. a war filled with violence. someone had to surrender, whether it was japan or america. everyone did wrong in the war, not just the allied forces."

"This was a "find" at the dollar tree store. I bought it without having watched it. It involves a character who is trying to survive with her husband's family during WW2. She lives near Hiroshima. I liked her character so much that I decided that I wanted to be more like her so I'm starting to learn Japanese. I hope to learn to cook like her and sew like her in the future."
