"I am probably one of the last few cinephiles to watch this bizarre film. The theme is certainly mesmerizing. A lonely mute woman finds a kindred spirit with a lonely aquatic man captured by the government. She falls in love with him, and wants to free him from captivity. The acting was good, but I was mostly enamored with the color palette 🎨 of the film: yellows, blues, greens, and browns like the ocean. The plot is full of 1960s themes: spies, racism, government secrets, etc. Michael Shannon plays the role of a government official in charge of the aquatic man. His role is brutal and unforgiving. Warning: ⚠️ Brief female nudity, sexual scenes, and scenes of self-pleasuring. "
