"3.5/5*s
Pretty good scary movie. The gore comes more from the sounds because they don't actually show the gross stuff happening. You can see "after" the gore takes place but maybe to keep costs down, they chose to not show the gore actually happening. Anyway, it's better than I thought it was going to be and I'm glad I watched it."

"This was a fun one! Definitely some good twists and turns. A few minor jump scares too. I haven’t tuned in to a lot of Florence’s horror, but this was a good one while on vacation. "

"Overall, the acting, setting, and basic premise saves this movie. Florence Pugh is expectedly great. The creepy-old-mansion- setting in the English countryside setting is fun and provides a cool place for a few decent jump scares. But overall, I didn't love the camera work and some plot details. Specifically, lots of the camera work doesn't show you the actual gore or full scene. It feels like most of the movie is the characters staring at something in shock, but the audience can't see what it is, which makes the movie seem slower and more frustrating. Additionally, the last part of the film feels a little lackluster because it's not tied together with the rest of the movie. Why did we spend so much time talking about the main characters' mother? Why do we follow the ghost girls around all movie, and then they just stand there as 3 characters are attacked? Why do the ghosts/dead at the end not understand what's happening? Just some basic themes that I think could've been changed to make more sense and be more meaningful."
