"Most people, myself included, tend to hold movies from the MCU to a higher standard. That being said, I feel like this movie falls somewhere neatly in the middle. Definitely not the best and definitely not the worst that the MCU has to offer. The story does have a bit of a disjointed feel to it, and I suppose that is because of the reshoots that happened after it originally tested so poorly. One observation, it seems odd that Sam Wilson would have such a difficult time fighting a villain with no powers, like Copperhead, early in the film and then have an equally hard time fighting a massively powerful opponent like the Red Hulk. It doesn't seem logical. But that's me being nitpicky. Overall, Captain America: Brave New World was an entertaining watch that hopefully, will set up better future movies from the next phase of the MCU. 7/10"
"This was less entertaining than scooby doo. The "bad guy" of the film had an extreme case of Chiari, which made me want to cheer for him. The funniest parts of the film were when it was supposed to be a serious moment, and Anthony messed up and smiled.
The film had a basic plot that was so easy to figure out. The "build up" if you can call it that was basically the whole film for a 5 minute, if that, dumb fight sequence. Think Hulk vs Thanos fight. It was just as lame.
I think superhero movies are just getting worse. "
"I wasn't really excited about this one, But knowing that Red Hulk was in this one, I was interested in watching. Visually it was ok, and action scenes were handled well, especially in the Hulk fight. Going into this one I wasn't expecting much, and it was mediocre, It actually gets going in the second half, it's said in the end credits saying Cap/Wilson will be back, either in Doomsday or Secret Wars, I'm very excited and looking forward to see both movies."
"This is a solidly entertaining film that continues the MCU storyline that effectively integrates ETERNALS to the broader universe while also including political intrigue that keeps you at least decently engaged. Easily the MVP for me was the performance by Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross (taking over the role from William Hurt who played him in the MCU until BLACK WIDOW and died of cancer in 2022 after that film’s release (apparently William Hurt’s cancer was already terminal during BLACK WIDOW’s filming and it proved to be the last film he made before his death)). Decent production design and VFX work as well. Definitely worth watching purely for entertainment value."
