"I wept. I just wept. I was very young when I saw this. The end is so bittersweet to me. It's been a long time since I have watched this but I definitely recommend it. "

"I can’t even say how long I’ve been saying I would watch this but just didn’t have the emotional strength since I heard it was a lot . My grandma said oh you have to watch it now and I just had my jaw clenched the entire time from trying to keep from crying. Breaks you down and builds you back up by the end . 10/10 goodness gracious "

"So emotional, it pulled at my heart strings and made me cry almost like The Help. The endurance and hardships Celie had to endure but her reward at the end was priceless and I was so happy to see her be reunited with her sister and children!"

"Powerful movie on so many levels. I'll admit I was shocked that it's getting rebooted because this movie is amazing all by itself and the actors in it played their roles perfectly. "
