"I’ve never understood the hate this movie got when it was initially released, I guess I understand because its nothing like it’s book counterpart but I think it’s silly to put Dr. Seuss stories into a box like that. If it still has the message the initial story was trying to tell and it’s entertaining to boot then why not? I love this movie and watch it every year for Christmas it’s one of the ultimate Christmas movies in my eyes. Jim Carrey did such and amazing job from his face work, to this voice and even his body movements! He really left no crumbs. It’s fun take on the story that refreshed it for a more modern audience and for me it worked. "
