Ang ItI read this as a sort of satire of the Harry Potter books and magical-boarding-school genre they spawned... And it is oh so good. Funny, smart, and surprisingly compassionate, this book got me out of a multi-year reading slump. Great writing, great characters, great all around. And the 2nd book manages to only get better! I am very impatiently waiting for the 3rd and final one to come out
