Breanna IngersollMy first ML Wang book—and now I get the hype! Beautifully written, with rich world-building that grabs you from the very start. The characters are well-developed, the magic system is totally original, and the setting feels like a post-apocalyptic utopia sealed in a bubble. I was especially intrigued by how the "outsiders" are viewed—seen as dangerous, even monstrous, though they’re human too. Once they cross into this society, they’re basically enslaved and forced to live in slums. It's chilling, because it reflects real-world issues in a way that makes you think, even if—like me—you usually prefer to escape from all that when you read. That said, I loved this book overall and can’t wait to read more by ML Wang! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Breanna IngersollThis is not for the faint of heart—and honestly, that's kind of the point. I was bored, mildly curious, and saw this author's name pop up one too many times to ignore. Curiosity won. What followed was a wild ride of ghosts, demons, morally questionable choices, and some of the hottest **** I've read in a while. The plot? Absolutely unhinged in the best way. Think horror movie meets spicy fanfic written during a full moon. Is it a literary masterpiece? No. Did I devour it in 24 hours? Also yes 🤪

Breanna IngersollDo we have to wait two years after an ending like that?! This was such a strong and emotional conclusion to the third installment in the series. I cried twice—and I'm not someone who cries easily over books! I really appreciated the deeper look into the world and how much more layered it felt by the end. Without spoiling anything, if you’ve enjoyed the previous books, this one is an absolute must-read. The multiple POVs in the final chapters added so much depth, and I loved every second of it.

Breanna Ingersoll✨ I’m knee-deep in Kindred’s Curse ( Spark of the Everflame ) and officially obsessed. I missed out on the original covers (cue dramatic sigh), but honestly? These new editions are stunning—my hubby surprised me with the hardbacks for my birthday, and I totally squealed. I’ve seen the mixed reviews, especially about the FMC, but to me, she feels refreshingly real. Not every heroine needs to be polished and perfect—sometimes you want someone a little messy, a little raw, and totally relatable. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this connected to a series. I’m emotionally invested, wildly entertained, and 100% on board to follow this author wherever she takes us next. Bring on the magic, the mayhem, and the morally gray chaos. 🔥📚 For the ones that love a true slow burn romance 🐌 🔥 🩶

Breanna IngersollStory starts as a girl from California is suddenly uprooted from her sunshine state to move to Alaska, with her only relatives, her Uncle & Cousin. She enters a world of monsters unbeknownst to her. The school hides that part of itself since she is human. I'd stay. It's a 2-1/2 to 3 🌟 for me. It's cheesy and has some plot holes. It does have an original idea, but it falls apart here and there for me. It's definitely YA. Will I read the rest of the series? Perhaps I would like to know what happens next l!

Breanna IngersollI loved this story—I mean, truly loved it. Diem stole my heart, and now I’m left impatiently waiting for the next book like a feral reader sniffing the wind for updates. It was such a refreshing twist to have a Healer as the main character. Diem, about 20 years old and emotionally multitasking like a champ, is trying to piece her life together after her mother vanishes under mysterious circumstances. She throws herself into her healing work, attempting the whole “normal life” thing, even though the universe clearly said, “Not today, girl.” She’s been popping this special powder her whole life, believing it’s what keeps her balanced—spoiler: it was basically magical NyQuil suppressing her powers. Naturally, once she stops taking it, things start to get spicy. Diem is deep in denial about her not-so-mortal side, and watching her come to terms with her magic is a fun, chaotic ride. Now let’s talk about Henri—her boyfriend—and his rebel bros. Personally? Not a fan. They gave off major "wrong vibe" energy. Whether that was intentional or not, I was mentally yeeting him out of scenes by chapter three. Diem deserves better and, frankly, more interesting. As Diem gets drawn into palace politics and tangled responsibilities, a much bigger world opens up—full of secrets, powers, and problems she didn’t sign up for. It’s a story of self-discovery, magical mayhem, and that classic internal crisis of “is my boyfriend actually it?” (He’s not. Probably. We’ll see.) All in all, Spark of the Everflame delivers a delicious blend of mystery, magic, and messy emotions, wrapped around a heroine you can’t help but root for. I’m fully invested, and I need to know what happens next.
