The Lazy ReaderI'm torn with this one. Overall a good story, even if a bit predictable. Loved the way the autistic brother was written. But the main issues I had were detectives not being knowledgeable about DNA (that was laughable) and the author obviously not being familiar with ex post facto, the fact that once a person is sentenced of a crime and given time, even if the law changes, that person's time cannot be extended. The author should have researched it better. Overall 3.75 stars.
The Lazy ReaderThis was the very definition of campy horror. The physical copy was so much fun! Loved the "IKEA-like catalog" spin. I could not get enough of it and finished this one in one sitting. 4.5 stars
The Lazy ReaderThis was an action packed, creepy, atmospheric, and quick paced. I guessed early on how it would play out, but that didn't deter from enjoying it at all. The cliffhanger of an ending has me looking forward to the next book. 4.25 stars
The Lazy ReaderEven though this one destroyed me, I thoroughly loved this book. I was only devastated to learn about the author's life and to know how little there is left to read by her. 5 stars.
The Lazy ReaderA devastating story from the pov of a queer mountain lion. Literally left me heartbroken. 4.25 stars
The Lazy ReaderVery quick read but beware, this author does NOT play favorites. 4 out of 5 stars.
The Lazy ReaderI have so many thoughts. Firstly, this read like a YA novel, and not a good one. Second, the concept was great but the actual book was average at best. And last, I could not stand a single person in this book, especially Ren. Absolutely full of herself, wishy washy and overall just not nice. 3 extremely generous stars.
The Lazy ReaderNot at all what I was expecting. Such an endearing and touching story about a friendship that truly stands the test of time. 4.5 out of 5. Definitely recommend. Can't wait to read more from this author.
The Lazy ReaderThe beginning and ending were interesting, but the middle was so confusing at times I felt like I was constantly trying to grasp any understanding of it. Although the writing was beautiful, the story wasn't enough. I'm not sure I would have finished this one if it had been any longer. 3 stars.
The Lazy ReaderA short, but wonderful story. I truly love Sylvia Plath's writing style and the way she tells a story. 4.25 stars
