M MaihemConstantly kept me hooked wondering what was going to happen next, and a few parts even had me on the verge of tears! -Spoilers ahead!- Although I really enjoyed reading this, I didn't much care for the whole thing where Grace wondered if Lorcan might be her father, and didn't seem as bothered by the idea as she should have given her longstanding crush on him, and it felt very gross. Then there was the whole thing where Jacoby kept getting flustered by Sugar Pie after going after Jasmine Peacock for so long and finally being together and seeming blissfully happy, it felt very off and uncomfortable. And THEN the bit where after traveling with Jasmine, her and Connor getting together and Jasmine cheating on Jacoby...again, it felt very uncomfortable and unnecessary, and further perpetuates the notion that a woman can't be alone with another guy while in a relationship without cheating. And it felt pretty out of the blue anyway.
M MaihemI read these a lot when I was a kid, and even though I could read at a very high reading level back then, I still enjoyed them immensely. I reread this one today and it's still enjoyable and brought a smile to my face.
M MaihemBest writing advice book I've ever read. I feel like I'm seeing writing in a new light, and I have the tools and mindset to be gentler with myself in the future while improving my writing and knowing how to continue to be productive without destroying myself. Definitely recommend reading this if you're a writer of any type. 😁
M MaihemA great continuation. I wasn't expecting the Pirate Federation school bit to work, but it did.
M MaihemVery intriguing and fun read, but Grace bothered me a bit. She's supposed to be an extremely intelligent girl but she couldn't seem to grasp the most obvious clues and information to put things together. Other than that, I really liked this, especially the captains on both ships.
