I'm so disappointed that I won't be finishing Stephen King's It. I made it maybe 30 percent of the way in and had a panic attack because this boys dead brother tried to drag him into the canal. How am I supposed to celebrate Halloween if I'm this scary? Sigh

This book passed me off so much, I haven't felt anger this visceral since working at a casino. The main character's brother is such a self centered jerk that I got an ulcer listening to his antics. Her mother's an idiot. Also, the book devolved into crazy nonsense.

I own over 300 books (physical, digital, and audio), and I still feel like I have nothing to read.

Can horror books with ghosts, fantastical creatures, magical locations be considered fantasy books? Or does the horror label nullify its fantastical elements. Basically, I just want to know if I could recommend a horror book when someone asks foe fantasy.

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable rating certain books you dislike because maybe it's not the book that's bad, just a difference in preference.

Did anyone read The Black Witch? I want to know what happens without having to read the series.
