Rowan / Rachel took whatever the punishment was, I don’t know what it was the author didn’t say, but that letter from Ellie was why she never sent the letter to begin with. To protect her little sister.

Brooke Gross-GilbertThis is probably the saddest book I’ve ever read. It’s an eloquent commentary on generational trauma getting passed down through families. I’ve only ever cried reading three books. This one was number three.
