Clr AccountI was moved by the innocence of these children, and deeply saddened as I compared them to today's society. On the other hand, the reality of racism and unfair treatment is laid out as it really was and still is, to some extent. The prose is very rich.. several new words to learn. I wish I had read this book years ago.

Clr AccountIsbell Allende será siempre una de mis escritoras favoritas. Esta historia fue excelente. Me llegó un poquito más quizás porque soy dominicana. Casi siempre me hace llorar. Este libro no fue una excepción. Me encanta la manera en que nos enseña lo fuerte que somos las mujeres. Definitivamente recomendado.

Me gustó mucho la anotación del autor al final del libro acerca del trasatlántico que zarpó de Alemania con destino a Cuba antes de comenzar la guerra. No le doy un 5 porque me faltó un poco de conexión, aunque realmente no sé por qué.
