Devon K.A gritty, pulse-pounding ride with a great blend of tension and uneasiness. The ending pulled me in a totally different direction than expected, expertly crafted and translated
Devon K.I preferred this book to Gone To See The River Man if I'm honest. Felt ominous and atmospheric. Gripping and for me at least, held on tight.
Devon K.Hmm...well Character depth is there, setting feels well done and feels generally creepy. Overall, I enjoyed the read, just not so much the overall ending. Just not really as horrific as I thought it would be.
Devon K.Gripping and doesn't let go. Feeling of hopelessness, despair, and downright bloody! Such a unique story with great compelling characters.
Devon K.An interesting insight to one of the greatest rockers of the generation. Great stories, definitely enjoyed more of the middle part of the book and his previous experiences.
Devon K.I couldn't put this book down..NOT ONE SECOND! This is what I was hoping true splatterpunk horror books would be! Such a horrific, bloody, brilliantly well written book, it was just incredible! Get ready for this ride, if you can, with the horrors that await in the woods. Not for the faint of heart whatsoever.
Devon K.Overall, decently written.. some pretty good extreme horror situations and kind of reflection on change or at least desired change can be hopeless...which definitely makes it more eerie. I'd say 3.25 stars
Devon K.3.75 overall. Suspenseful, intriguing, especially with the ending... definitely some slow parts no doubt and not my absolute favorite of the series, but I liked how the adventures wrapped up in the end. Harry Potter book series is now finished!
