lizardNow I wish I had snagged that free used copy. I was expecting more of a feminist analysis of genesis and it’s cultural implications, and while I did still wish for more of that, I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of theological debates over early Christian history. I came away from it reevaluating my own relationship to faith.

lizardDiverges slightly from its film adaptation. I think both fit the story well for their mediums. The book is better at going in on philosophy and themes, but it can also drag where the movie is more succinct.
