Topic: Dune: Prophecy
I’m interested in watching this. I read the first installment of dune, but was wondering if this show ties more to the other books
lizardI don’t know if I can count this as a book as it is moreso a series of interviews but nevertheless illuminating.
lizardNow I wish I had snagged that free used copy. I was expecting more of a feminist analysis of genesis and it’s cultural implications, and while I did still wish for more of that, I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of theological debates over early Christian history. I came away from it reevaluating my own relationship to faith.
lizardDiverges slightly from its film adaptation. I think both fit the story well for their mediums. The book is better at going in on philosophy and themes, but it can also drag where the movie is more succinct.
lizardI really liked these stories and I felt they all followed a very coherent thread. The first one stood out as intriguing and the last one resonated with me very personally.
