Halie VThis book had me wondering what would happen the entire time! I loved it. The twists and turns the story takes are so fun and had me hooked. There are heartbreaking moments and moments of hope. The imagery is also beautiful. I would love to watch this as a movie!
Halie VVery cute read! Lynn Painterâs YA books are always fun. This one has a dash of fake dating and lots of fun banter. The main characters connected over having divorced parents and I think a lot of their experiences could be relatable for young readers. You could see the main conflict coming basically the entire book which always makes me stressed but the resolution was very sweet and I liked the way it ended. I would have loved for Bailey and her dad to have had an actual conversation. The way that part of the plot resolved was weird to me. Super cute option if youâre looking for a YA romance!
Halie V4.5/5 âď¸ Elsie does it again! If she writes it I will almost definitely love it and Weston and Skylarâs story was no different. I loved being back in Rose Hill and Westonâs family is so fun and sweet. I wanted more regarding Skylarâs storyline with her parents. I felt like for how much their decisions impacted her life I wanted something bigger to come of that plot resolution. I almost wanted this book to feel more original. It felt so structurally similar to Wild Love that I didnât get as swept away in the story as I did in the first book. Donât get me wrong I had a great time but the setting was the same and there was email flirtations like the last one. The continuity was definitely there I just love when a series of interconnected stand alones makes the world the characters are in feel more in depth from book to book but it felt very similar between the two in this series so far. As usual for Elsie this book has some good spice! 2.5-3/5 spice level! Love this series and canât wait for the next one!
Halie VThis was a good read! The fmc is divorced and finding herself again. The mmc is sweet and I loved how he helped her gain her voice again. There are also themes of grief and friendship. Overall it was a sweet and easy read. A great summer reading option. This book was closed door.
Halie V4.5/5 âď¸ I really enjoyed this book! Helen and Grantâs history is very messy and dynamic. Working on the TV show was a cool setting for a lot of the story. There was lots of relationship dynamics outside of the main character thatâs were fun and interesting. Overall this read was great! I found the main characters fell into a relationship a little suddenly and kind of went from hate to friends pretty quickly. 1.5/5 spice level. There is a lot of scenes and mentions of sex once the characters are together but they arenât very explicit.
Halie VThis world is incredible. These characters are so well developed and I have loved seeing them grow. This book focuses heavily on grief. Itâs long but itâs really beautiful and it ended on a sweet note. As someone who thought BJ and Magnolia were toxic and doomed in book one I have completely changed my mind about them and was whole heartedly rooting for them at this point. Overall loved it. Need more Daisy though! She is my absolute favourite. I think there was an open door scene in this book but it was more descriptive of the emotions happening. I would say there is no spice in there books on my scale but there is a lot of implied sex and talk of sex throughout the entire series.
Halie VDual pov. Love a good Tessa Bailey book!! This is super cute. Loved the grumpy sunshine vibes. It felt like there was going to be more push and pull at the beginning but both characters gave in pretty quickly! Also the back injury healed shockingly fast and I how the heck did Burgess ever find that bathing suit đ as always Tessa Bailey writes excellent spice! 3/5 spice level.
Halie V4/5 âď¸ so cute!! Lane and Matt are adorable. Matt is obsessed and will do anything for Lane. I liked the way the relationship progressed. I also really liked Laneâs character arc. At times Mattâs comments about someday someone will make you a mom and stuff were not my favourite and he came on a little too strong at times I felt but overall it was a cute read! There were a few good spice scenes! 2.25/5 spice level.
Halie VWhat a sweet book!! I really like Cara Bastoneâs writing style. I did the audio for this book and her writing lends itself really good to audio. Also the narration was great. I like an accidental pregnancy and I liked how this one didnât follow same plot that so many accidental pregnancy books do! I also appreciated all of the side characters and their relationships with Eveâs experience and how that was written. There was so much happening in this book aside from the cute romance and I really enjoyed it! It was fun and light while also touching on some very big subjects. Overall would recommend. 0.5/5 spice level there is one full scene I think.
Halie VDual pov and available on KU. Ugh!! Liz did it again!! Isaiah is so cute and is completely gone for Kennedy. He is so unwavering in his pursuit of her and is the kindest soul. Kennedy has a tough exterior and just needs someone she trusts to be in her corner. This series is so incredible!!! I love all of the characters so much. There is some good spice. I think it started closed the the 50% mark. 2.5/5 spice level. If you havenât read this series yet you need to!!
