Jennifer StanfordThis is my perfect cute and spicy book. Its so sweet, silly and low stakes. No stress. An “i need a lift” book. Plus the spice is immaculate
Jennifer Stanfordthe feminism left my body at times but I didn’t mind

Honestly. I loved it but am a smidge conflicted about it, haha. Deeeefinitely check the trigger warnings. I didnt know if I’d be able to forgive Enzo but…I sure did. I really, really did. Both our protagonists are very, very broken people but find connection(healing?) in each other while navigating being stranded on an island for a month with a very creepy lighthouse keeper.
While the spice is extra spicy, the story is genuinely intriguing. I needed to know what was going to happen next. Carlton does a tremendous job at creating the atmosphere. This is really significant for me because I have aphantasia and literally can’t create mental images, and yet I felt myself on that island, in that lighthouse, in their little bedroom.

If you love a sexy thriller (and aren’t triggered by the content warnings) I definitely recommend this one
