Kayla HargadenWow, this book was full of surprises. Just sitting here, reading along, saying to myself “There’s NO WAY she doesn’t realize XYZ, it’s so obvious.” Only to find out that XYZ is only the tiniest fraction of huge bomb that’s about to drop the last quarter of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it gave off an air from so many of my favorite series all compiled into one. Like Romeo and Juliet meets FBAA meets a Caraval with a tiny nod to Hunger Games (very tiny nod), meets a little ACOTAR/TOG, even a tiny dash of Red Queen… but only little sprinkles of all of those to give you this absolute gem of a story. Definitely recommend, and it’s currently on KU, if anyone wants to check it out.
