Macy LeeI love this whole series, but each one gets better and better. I think I said this on the last one, but this has been my favorite so far. It gives a great perspective on what goes on outside of the city life in London. Eloise has so much character and this story suites her. It has been the first one in the series that has truly unpredictable aspects that end up bringing their love together. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that seems like it is more relatable than the cliche “everything falls perfectly together” type of love story. Also, I feel like Julia Quinn writes such a realistic perspective of a man’s point of view on emotions and marriage. I was very entertained to say the least.
Macy LeeDuring the book, there are 2 separate stories being told and brought together and that is really what kept me engaged. However, I found it a little predictable in a lot of ways. I still really liked it, though. She throws a twist in at the end, but it is a little ambiguous so it’s how you take it. I recommend if you’re looking for a fast and easy read.
Macy LeeI loved this book so much. I listened to it on audiobooks on the way to and from work and wow. The reader did so well and it was so enjoyable. There are some really great twists. Andy Weir has such a great imagination with deep and intellectual thought processes.
Macy LeeThis one started out as “another Cinderella” type of story and those seem to get old to me. However, it picked up on its own path about a quarter way through. This ended up being my favorite in the series, so far. Very beautiful and suspenseful!!
Macy LeeI love this whole series and so far this is my least favorite; however, that does not mean it isn’t great! It hit a climax sort of early and kinda dropped off. But it eventually picked back up and left me with a smile on my face. Starting the next one asap!
