MadiBeeWoah. I finished this book and one day and jumped to write this review. Read this book if you want a physiological thriller that twists and bends your mind and emotions throughout every chapter. The amount of plot twists and “WTF” moments is insane. Another great one by McFadden
MadiBeeAfter reading all the books so far in the From Blood and Ash series, I wanted to start the spin off. But…..this book was pretty difficult to get through. The pacing is very slow and nothing really happens for so long. I like the characters, but it was nothing like the first book from From Blood and Ash. I’m going to continue the series just for the understanding of the world, and I really hope it picks up.
MadiBeeI haven’t been this much into a fantasy series since ACOTAR, and I loved every bit of it! The premise of the characters and how everything unravels is so interesting, and I was on the edge of my seat so many times. Of course it still has some problems, but they’re pretty minor and don’t distract from the overall appeal of the story.
MadiBeeReally loved the concept and all of the twists and turns! My only couple of complaints have to do with some of the character relationships not being as fleshed out as they could have been (such as Pip’s and Ravi’s) and it seemed like quite a drastic jump in the eventual time skips. Another thing is the writing style which made it a bit harder to want to really dive into, but that could be a personal preference as I’m not the biggest fan of 3rd person povs in such a thinking-centered book. But overall, it was a really good read and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested in mystery, suspense, etc.

I’m trying to get a good in depth review for this book but I feel like it’s pretty hidden. The premise seems interesting in that Punk 57 “not knowing each other way” and I wish I could find more info about it before I buy it.
MadiBeeNot my favorite Penelope Douglas book but still pretty good
