MerryI enjoyed this historical fiction about a young French lady who is banished to a deserted island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the sixteenth century. Her fight to survive and thrive and ultimately return to her homeland made for an enjoyable read.

MerryFive stars for this book! Loved it! A midwife’s life and experiences during the 1790’s in Massachusetts, early America. A rape, a murder, and a mystery. Thoroughly enjoyed this story.

MerryRead this for my book club….not really my cup of tea. The author dramatically retells of her near death experience while enduring cancer and her ultimate healing. She explains how this completely changed her way of thinking about life and our purpose in it.

MerryI loved this book. The story of a young German woman in rural Germany prior to the start of WWII. Her family killed, she is brutalized by a German officer and ends up at a Nazi-run baby factory. There she cares for many infants and children. She meets a young officer who is working against the Nazis and over the coming years, they work together to save many children from the hands of evil Heinrich Himmler.

MerryThe story of Russian princess Anastasia Romanov. Did she really survive? An interesting way to write a story, and although it was, at times, confusing, it worked.

MerryI love this author’s writing and this book was no exception. This book explores the stories from several character perspectives. It winds its way around, exploring family dynamics, loss, betrayal and love.

MerryI enjoyed this imaginative story that tells the history of Murano island glassmakers through several hundred years . I liked how she kept the same characters living, throughout.
