TaylorThe authors note at the end of the audio really tied things together. It gave the story more depth, and the characters new meaning. An overall easy read/listen.
Taylor4.5/5! It was different, not entirely predictably, and left me with an overall good feeling. I love that the book invites some introspection about life and its many milestones and hardships, not to mention it’s just wild to think about her circumstances! Would recommend for an easy read.
TaylorIt’s been awhile since I have truly loved a book, but I LOVED this book. I stumbled upon it during a time that it feels very relatable. The characters were well portrayed, the wisdoms and realities carefully laid throughout the book are thoughtful. Loved the general vibe, and the fact that it wasn’t 100% predictable. Long live Phoebe ❤️🔥
TaylorI enjoy her thoughtful musings. Always a little abstract for my brain to properly apply to life, but still grounding and nice to listen to.
TaylorPretty enjoyable overall! I like how there were nuggets of wisdom placed throughout, particularly towards the end, that made it feel relatable. The spice was good, but I would have loved even just a little more 😬 the characters were fun and different. I could picture Naomi in my head pretty clearly!
TaylorVery fluffy. While the main plot was kind of a stretch of circumstances, it was all of the smaller things that happened around it that didn’t feel realistic enough to connect with the book. A lot of predictably. Overall good characters, and was a quick and easy read though. The spicy content is good, but overall spice level was lower than I was hoping for.
TaylorAlways hard to get the scope of a book in a movie, but not bad. It’s been awhile since I’ve read it, but there seemed to be quite a disconnect. Solid team of actors though, and emotionally moving for sure.
TaylorSome parts were giggle worthy and relatable, but it did lack something. Especially concerning the main character and supporting characters. That being said, it’s my understanding that the book was a cathartic write for the author who was experiencing her own divorce and I think that would be a huge and brave undertaking!
