So I had fun reading the first book in this trilogy, but for some reason this one fell somewhat flat for me. There was too much emphasis on romantic drama. I hated the love triangle (or square?), which ruined Day & Tess’ friendship + added melodrama to June/Day. I understand the symbolism of the different love interests, but the execution was annoying. Day made stupid decisions that I can understand, but his treatment of June was poor. & June wasn’t as interesting as she was in Book 1.
