sarah speelmanI’m not crying, you’re crying

I really never expected a monster romance to get me so stingy-eyed. This was so cute and wholesome (except the torture part).

Also, don’t go with the audible. Wyn’s voice is great, but the accent the actor gave Danny is the worst southern accent since Jasper from Twilight. As someone from the south, it was embarrassing and cringy. Completely took me out of the book and I had to shut it off and go back to reading
sarah speelmanWords fail me. This book was amazing! Excuse me if I get a little rambly, but there is a lot happening.

Lia is the princess of Morrighan and First Daughter. Without getting too spoilery being the first daughter comes with certain expectations and ones of those is to marry the prince of Dalbreck to secure an alliance between the two kingdoms. Lia has other plans for her future though and she runs off with her best friend Pauline literally hours/moments before she was due to give her vows. They head to a little village Pauline knows of and work to set up new lives for themselves.

This books is full of twists, secrets, and is located somewhere incredibly surprising, until you see it. I love the history in this world, I love the lore, and I love the characters. I’m so glad I gave this series a chance because it’s turned off to be one of my most re-read series ever
