Salim HemdaniThank you Genevieve for this amazing recommendation. Timing couldn’t have been better. I had just finished The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra, and was looking for more... These two books written more than 2000 years apart are so thought provoking and full of wisdom. This particular book written so plainly, is philosophy for all. No previous knowledge or understanding of Stoic or Epicurean thought is necessary. A book to read and reflect ❤️
Salim HemdaniA unique and modern take on the relationship between politics and technology. For centuries, states were governed or supported by prominent individuals in science and technology. Very recently, this dynamic has shifted. The authors don’t dwell on the root cause of this change, but they clearly establish the significance of the relationship. Worth a quick read. P.S. This book also reads like an ad for Palantir. 😅
Salim HemdaniThis book is packed with unconventional wisdom. Every line us deep. It challenges the mind and forces you to think differently. I often had to read sentences two or three times just to fully grasp the message. This is not an easy book to read without some background. Having knowledge of philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, and even the pre-Socratics thinkers is very helpful. Nietzsche also quotes and builds on ideas from German philosophers like Kant and Schopenhauer, so being familiar with them adds even more depth to the experience. Any knowledge of Eastern philosophy (Bhagwat Geeta and such) is a big plus. Understanding the civil history of Nietzsche’s time is also important to fully appreciate the points he makes. This is a book that demands preparation, patience, and careful reading — but it rewards you with insights that stay with you for a long time.
Salim HemdaniAn insightful book on good and evil - the ethics and dilemmas within. In last chapter, Mark brings all the science and concepts home, profoundly awakening the inner light filled with love.
Salim HemdaniReminds you of the TV series Twilight and such stories
Salim HemdaniSuper easy read. A good list of reminders to refresh your life routine.
Salim HemdaniA very intriguing book. Do you believe in the power of mythical stories? The hidden messages they offer? This book will make you think, dig deeper, and establish a connection with Mother Nature. Above all, it invites you to embrace these connections on a more profound level. A must-read for those who appreciate mystery and deeper meaning woven into the fabric of ancient tales.
