Sara SoDeezy3.5⭐️ | I’m torn about this because as much as I loved the concept, there were a lot of points where the story would get muddled a bit. Having multiple POVs wasn’t too crazy for me to follow along with, and I can understand why that direction was taken to move the story along, there were just times where I didn’t see much use in having certain characters being focused on at some points lol. Nonetheless, I did like the time travelling aspect, that’s what initially drew me to this. Plot twists were really well done, and the characters were great too, just no real standouts. All in all, good for a casual read, great for a debut!

Sara SoDeezyGoing to give my full review once I finish all the episodes, but initial thoughts: acting is ok, scenery is pretty and the characters are pretty accurate to the books. I’m waiting for the plot twist to happen to see if this series was worth the watch.

Sara SoDeezyFirst off: BEAUTIFUL cover. That’s what initially drew me to this. That said, the story is equally as compelling and beautifully written. This will especially tug at your heartstrings if you’re close to your grandparents. Definitely a good read for any first-gen Latinx readers, as there’s a lot of relatable themes embedded in the plot. Reading in Spanish wasn’t hard for me (native language), but if you don’t speak it, there may be some required translation/context clues for you to follow. Overall, a solid and easy to finish book.

Sara SoDeezyI always love reading books situated in my hometown. This was different from what I normally pick up for sure, but for the most part I enjoyed it. The midsection got a bit slow but picked up quickly towards the end. THAT ENDING THOUGH… GAVE ME CHILLS. Has elements of horror, drama, and thriller all wrapped into it if you’re looking for something different.

Sara SoDeezyI didn’t really know what to expect when I started reading this book, but honestly this was such a heartwarming read. If you want something character-driven, I’d definitely recommend this. You develop an attachment to the characters as the story continues, as each character’s story takes such different turns. Overall, a great read.

Sara SoDeezyCute story, but a bit too long for my liking. I usually don’t mind a cheesy/cringe dialogue, but some of it was a bit too much at times lol. It slightly leaned too closely on stereotypes/tropes which made the characters lack depth for me.
