Sue IversonI love that Jodi Picoult does such deep research that she brilliantly incorporates into her stories. This one is no exception. Loved the story, the characters, learning about the plight of elephants, and the unexpected twist at the end. Did I mention I loved the elephants? 😉

Sue IversonWhat an amazing story - Kristin Hannah does the best job at making the reader feel they are experiencing the story with the characters (stolen moments with a lives one, crossing a bridge guarded by the event, or the experience of hiding in a locked away storage room for days). This story will keep you engaged, invested and emotional. You will become involved with the characters and feel the commitment, sacrifice, dedication and consequences on choices made to survive. Hard to put down and still thinking about it after finishing over 2 weeks ago.
