Taylor NagyWow I loved this so much! Reminded me so much of Every Summer After. Gave me the same nostalgic, feeling 17 again vibes. I absolutely LOVED Charlie, he reminded me of my husband. I loved her Nan and family too. It had me smiling constantly, chuckling and gave me goosebumps at parts. SO good! Dare I say, my favorite Carley Fortune besides her first!!
Taylor NagyWell I’m really torn on this review because I feel like if I went into this NOT expecting a romance like all her other books, then I’d probably love it. This is totally not in the right genre IMO. This read literary fiction to me with a side of romance. I’m not gonna lie, most the book was pretty boring and I didn’t really care for Margaret’s story. I feel like it was being portrayed like it was such a dramatic celebrity story but it fell flat for me. It felt like Emily Henry was trying too hard to mimic 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. The ending did make up for it a bit with the romance portion, but with most of the book I didn’t really feel the main character’s connection. The MMC had little background and just kinda felt like he came from thin air lol. Overall, it was okay!
Taylor Nagy4.5 stars! Wow I’m so pleasantly surprised by this! I LOVED her After series, so I thought I’d pick this up at the bookstore when I saw it on new release. SO good. Didn’t want to put down. Had me in tears, such a sad, beautiful & hopeful story. Can’t wait to read her other books now even more!
Taylor NagyThis book had me in tears a few times. I really related to the grief she described. The romance was definitely slow burn! Had me laughing out loud too. Such a sweet book!
Taylor Nagy3.5 stars! This definitely had very slow start for me. I’d say more than half way the book was slow. I held out hope thought because of how much I love Francine Rivers! A lot of things were hard to understand (Roman talk & stories of Jerusalem etc). Once I got past that, I did grow an attachment to Hadassah. I’m sure Francine does this on purpose, but Marcus, Julia & her friends aggravated me to no end. I’m still holding out hope for Marcus. The ending was devastating. I wish I had book 2 in my hands because that ending was shocking. 😭💔
Taylor NagyThis was just okay. I did like the very magical fairy world the author built, but the characters fell a bit flat for me. Most of the book was pretty slow. The ending (literally last chapter) does have a crazy plot twist. If you’re reading this for romance, I wouldn’t expect that. I’ve heard the next book is better, so I’m on the fence about reading that!
Taylor Nagy4.5-5 stars! Wow I’ve heard amazing things about this book and I was not disappointed! It definitely gave me Stephanie Garber vibes, who I loveeee. I couldn’t put it down half way through to the end. And the ending plot twists were SO good! I was shocked. I wish we got to see more time with the person she ends up with in the end though, so I’m so excited for the next book! It definitely ends on a cliff hanger. 😭
Taylor NagyThis felt a lot slower to me than the others, I didn’t like it as much. Just meh, but an easy read! Lost me with all the number/cult stuff. Unfortunately Booktok ruined the ending for me too, so that wasn’t a surprise. Hoping the next is better!
Taylor NagyOmg this book was EVERYTHING to me!! 6 stars, immediately adding to my all time favorites! I knew only a couple chapters in that this was going to be amazing. I loved the FMC and how she reads people’s body language, it made it SO interesting to read and envision. I really related to her too. I freaking LOVE how Jessa writes men. They’re so believable in their dialect and mannerisms. I was obsessed with Sam. Every interaction between him & Georgia had me smiling & swooning right from the first moment they met. I loved the bold questions Georgia would ask him and how he stood up for her. The plot twist shocked me. The ending was so good. I’m beyond sad it’s over. Now in a reading slump. 😞
Taylor Nagy3.75 stars! I’m so glad I liked this SO much more than All Rhodes Lead here. I love the brooding grumpy guys Mariana Zapata writes. I didn’t love the nickname “big guy” she mentions literally all the time or how often she talked about his big size, but I tried to ignore that. The ending was soo good and I loved the slow burn! I didn’t want it to end, I wanted more of them together!
