Tera TrimbleI am quite sure this is an unpopular opinion lol but I was booorreeeedd š© Maybe I just expected too much, that is entirely possible. It is well-done, the acting is on point, I just felt it dragged super hard, especially for an action film. If it was listed as a period drama, that would have been perfectly fitting and honestly could have shifted my perspective enough going into it to change my rating. I only even say that because on paper, this should have rocked so much harder. Definitely not saying to avoid it, you should give it a chance. Just go in feeling like itās a drama, and you may be pleasantly surprised š
Tera TrimbleIn a large mixing bowl combine 6oz of The Boys, 3oz of Metalocalypse, add in 2oz of montage-related tears and a truly great cast. Honestly if you liked The Boys (also Prime), and you like (or are fine with) animated projects, super good chance youāre going to respond positively to this series. It has all the brutality that The Boys offered up, the animation style (and awesome gore) of Metalocalypse, plus a little extra heart - mostly via sad (but effective) montages. All I knew going in was that it was really hardcore, and that it was about super heroes lol. I really fell in love with this series, and the plot line is really pretty fresh for a very tired genre. *Highly* recommend ššš
Tera TrimbleIām at a āļø3.6āļø with it. I did enjoy it, and the cast is great. Love Clint Eastwood as a director. Love true crime drama. This one was just a *tad* basic. I was still gripped enough to want to watch it, I just felt like not a whole lotā¦.happened? Iām having trouble putting my finger on the exact reasons here, I suppose there is just so many truly great titles out there at this point, this doesnāt feel like something I will forcefully push above the radar. However if you happen upon it or crave a lowkey courtroom drama, itās worth the watch.
Tera TrimbleFrom the creator and producer of Dead To Me, this new Netflix series is an absolute treasure. I accidentally binged it in half a day. Felt sad when it was over and wished I had more self-control lol. I donāt, and I deeply hope that there will be another installment. Starring Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Ray Romano, Dennis Leary, Linda Cardelini (Dead To Me), Luke Wilson, and Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), itās honestly difficult to go wrong. This extremely dark comedy for sure has a Dead To Me vibe to it that will be instantly evident, but not overbearing. I canāt tell you what itās about, as the pacing and delivery of the unveilings are best served by going in blind. Itās more fun lol. I loved it so much that having just watched it I am probably about to just restart it to ease my post-series withdrawals. More than just a great show, itās a definite must-see for anyone who is a fan of dark comedy. LOVED IT.
Tera TrimbleThis was truly a great show. I cry at everything in movies and tv, even once at a commercial lol. Believe me when I tell you I didnāt cry at this one. I straight up sobbed. Audibly. Uncontrollably. And it was worth every second of it. Starting Jason Segel, Harrison ford, and the brilliant Jessica Williams, this sh*t hits *hard* yall. Itās funny, itās sweet, itās sad, itās real, itās wonderful in all the ways. All 3 of them play therapists who fully rely on each other for more than just professional insight. I donāt want to spoil the dynamic, just trust me that this series is so super great. Worst thing about it is that itās on Apple TV so I had to watch the whole thing during a free trial lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Tera TrimbleOH MY GOD this was epic. So soooo good. I mean the second I saw the first trailer and they used NIN as the track...I knew I was in for a treat. If you haven't seen it, please PLEASE go fix this. It's iconic and you're missing out. I don't want to talk about it too much bc I get too excited and ruin the story lol. So go. Now.
Tera TrimbleI know there are a *lotttt* of these road trip movies out there now, but this is definitely one of the best originals. It has silly humor of course, but it's in such a great way. If you are in the mood for a quality fun ride with some truly insane but hilarious characters, pop this one on yall
Tera Trimble FREAKING. ADORABLE. Honestly it seems pretty hard to go wrong with a project Michael Shur (The Office, Parks and Rec, The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, SNL, etc) is involved in. Then add in Ted Danson (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Good Place), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Itās Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn 99, Modern Family) as your leads, you likely have gold on your hands. In this case, this is absolutely true. Ted Danson is a super sweet retired engineering professor and recent widower who, in search of a project, responds to a private investigatorās ad looking for an elderly person willing to go undercover in a retirement home. The comedy is on point, but if you are a known movie cryer Iād keep something handy lol, it will hit home for a lot of people. I just love this so much, and itās a truly welcome escape from the horror show that is our currently reality in this country. I reeeaaally needed this. Do yourselves a favor and binge this small 8 episode package of Netflix happy cuteness asap šš„¹š„¹š„¹
Tera TrimbleYAAAAAAAASSSSSSS oh MAN slasher gore for slasher goreās sake, I absolutely loved this. I yelled āOH MY GODā thrice out loud at the theater screen. For horror and gore fanatics (which I certainly am) this is just plain fun. If you hated the other Terrifier films you wonāt like this one either, and idk why youāre watching it lol. This is clearly made for the fans. Made me happy beyond my wildest gorey dreams! LOVE LOVE LOVE ā¤ļø
Tera TrimbleOH SH*T!!!!!! Okay ladies I see you LETS GO! I just feel so many things about this one. I am often told that a film is āshocking.ā This is the first time in a while that any part of that has been true. I love that it is definitely not shock for shockās value, there are absolutely extremely important underlying messages being intensely conveyed here. Starring Dennis Quaid, Demi Moore, and Margaret Qualley, this project ticks all of the boxes for me. Honest, terrifying, unpredictable, thoughtful, totally f*ā¬ked up, beautiful, funny, suspenseful, extremely well-acted and insanely well-directed. For me this is an Aronofvsky, Raimi, and Dead-Alive era Jackson style film for the *ages* This is NOT for the faint of heart or the weak of stomach lol. Fans of supergore and insanely brutal body horror will be pleased as punch. GO SEE THIS IMMEDIATELY šššššš
