Kristy ThaiThis book is categorized as mystery featuring *some* romance but WOW— the connection, interactions, and personalities of the 2 love interests in this novel was my favorite of all time. It’s not a steamy romance, but it’s sweet & leaves you swooooooning and pining for a happy ending.

I personally give this book 5 stars for the characters, romance, and overall message, but you might rate it lower if you’re an avid mystery reader. The book doesn’t have much foreshadowing, plot twists or turns; It mostly felt like dead ends throughout the book.. but it was still a good mystery book & really entertaining, just not very intense.

Perfectly enchanting, yet mysterious and had inspiring messages of forgiveness and self discovery. Read it!!
Kristy ThaiBleak, perplexing, and hazy prose. The style of this novel was very disorienting and vague, but I think the implications of her depression are best told this way, like her time blindness, impulsiveness, and social disconnection. It leaves room for interpretation, even though I was a fiend for more context for nearly half the book. D:

To understand the plot and characters better, I was reading chapter analysis's whenever I got confused. I don’t really feel as though it was a depressing read, it was more raw and heavy, but also a quick read and poignant. 4 stars!
Kristy ThaiSometimes you don’t think a book warrants a 5 star rating from you until you finish it completely. I was bookmarking pages like crazy towards the end because of the memorable quotes.

This book was kind of a slow-read for me because my attention usually strays when there’s not much dialogue in a novel, so it was more like a 4-star at first, but I ended up appreciating and understanding the main character’s introverted-ness and overthinking/inner dialogue. Like she can’t help it, she doesn’t talk to many people
Kristy ThaiIM FREAKING OUT IM FREAKIN OUT!!!!!! bruh…. that was crazy. my new favorite book. I need to process what I just read tbh because it was a roller coaster but I’ll be vague so as not to spoil

Love how you know how analytical, detail-oriented, and composed Evie is through her depictions of others and her self-awareness. As a reader, it’s so much more of a satisfying and fulfilling when character personalities is implied and gathered through their thoughts and action, rather than flat out said. As I read, I felt like I really got to uncover things about Evie while she also uncovered her own observations while on her job.

Loved how the passing characters from flashbacks in the past made sense later. Love Evie. I wanna be like her. Minus the crime lol

This really was a cat & mouse mystery thriller that kept me guessing the entire time. I really couldn’t have predicted most of what ended up happening. Plot twist after plot twist after plot twist towards the end. Soooo clever and fun to read.

I reccomend this book to annnyyyyone. 100000 stars!!!!! I already want to reread it
