EsmeIncredibly heartwarming—made me cry. Could possibly be from the standpoint of a biased animal-lover, but I believe it’s still worth the read.

EsmeI adored how this classic really takes the reader to the roaring 20s. It has distinctive themes that are appropriate for its setting and I found myself enraptured by the events that unfold at about the start of chapter seven. Overall, it’s a short read that maintains the attention of its audience. The only thing I could feel neutral about was the ending, which wasn’t horrible nor revolutionary.

EsmeBeautifully written and incredibly descriptive language use. That being said, this is not a romance story and should not be analyzed in that sense. It’s a novel that intends to delve into the delusions of disgusting individuals and does exactly that.
