"Outside of the juvenile humor, outrageous gore, some sly eye candy, otherworldly devils, and decent action you’ll find that Chainsaw is a character driven story. If you looking for cool fights that rival the other popular Jump series you’ll be sadly disappointed. I found Denji refreshing he’s empathic yet selfish, crass yet surprisingly delicate at times, Simpleminded yet a wise for his level. I think he both is very shonen and anti-shonen. Your enjoyment of the show will be based around Denji; do you care for his antics, his relationships, his growth? If so you’ll enjoy this season and the future seasons to come if not then you might as well drop it. "

First, Blue Eye Samurai is not anime. And second, most anime is not for me. However, this was an exception. Such a weird, violent, wonderful world. "Eh, the visuals are indeed cool but can confirm that protagonist is a major simp which makes the show kinda cringe. If they mostly made him into the edgelord archetype like the Japanese usually put in animes then that'd be a bit more bearable at least."
