"Lovely! Really interesting seeing the differences between Western competitors on these types of shows, vs. Eastern counterparts. Japanese people, to me, always seem so thoughtful. Everyone expressed their innermost thoughts with grace - meanwhile, here in America, everyone always seems to be just plain h*rny, nothing else 🤣 (For lack of a better word, sorry!)"

"First off I know I'm kind of a weeb but I promise I went into this with the same mindset I go into American Love is Blind with. And part of the disconnect could be due to having to read subtitles forcing me to pay more attention to the people. Also, I am currently only a few episodes in. However, I think even taking that into consideration the Japanese Love is Blind is just significantly better. It's edited in a way that lets you actually get acquainted with the people. The edit seems to trust you to actually pay attention through the "boring" getting to know you conversations which makes the impactful conversations much more meaningful. The tone shift in the first episode had me in tears because it felt earned. I think Netflix shows have this tendency to lean into their trashyness which can make for good watch parties, however I would genuinely call this good reality television."

"Love how different it is from the US version. "

"Best of the LIB family with people looking for live in a mature, respectful fashion. It shows how conditioned we are to garbage that this show wasn’t as popular as the other messier versions of this franchise. "

"I'm not a lovey-dovey person but I caught myself saying "aw" a few times! These couples actually seem like they want to find love and it's not just a bunch of drama. Love is Blind: US is fun to watch but this is more true to the experiment."
