"This is a strong period drama, well acted with an ensemble cast. I enjoyed seeing the royalty with a different perspective: Marie was more of a victim of the politics of her time, married to a man who was a fish out of water as king. The first season is fresh, sensual, and intelligent, and my new history drama addiction. I hope that there is a second season."
