Dexter: Original Sin

"Been watching this since it first released a few weeks ago. I will say the first episode it took some getting used to to because it felt a little cosplayish. But by the second episode I was fully on board and already use to these new characters. This is a great casting with major similarities. I’m feeling more and more connected by the week. Can’t wait to see where this goes and more of Dexters backstory."

"I'm glad to see that Showtime brought back Dexter, and they did what they said they would of bringing it back when you least expected it. The new series started great with the premiere episode laying down where New Blood left off, answering the question that many people were wondering, like how the original series left off and New Blood answered. If there were any people upset with how Dexter: New Blood ended like how people were upset about how the original series of Dexter ended, they'll be happy that they ended up answering the question of what happened before starting the new season. They did a great job putting gems from the original series into the premier, if you paid well enough attention to the original series, you'll spot them. They also did a great job at casting everyone for the new show as everyone looks like younger versions of everyone from the original Dexter series. I know that I am way far ahead of myself, but I'm trying to keep my hopes up that the writers think like me when the show is done, and hopefully with Original Sin, we get a lot of seasons instead of how New Blood only had one season. But sadly, I see it being only one season like New Blood as Showtime is supposed to be bringing a new series called Dexter: Resurrection, which I believe is supposed to be a spin-off to Dexter: New Blood. After Dexter: Original Sin is done, if done correctly, hopefully they go back into present time and have Dexter look for his son Harrison, who is now a serial killer. Dexter: Resurrection is set to premiere in June of 2025. "

"Loving this show! I never really got into the original Dexter, but this prequel is really entertaining. Christian Slater is terrific as the dad, struggling to help his troubled son. Patrick Gibson is also terrific, playing the young killer, struggling with his urges to kill. This is a fabulous cast. The writing and storylines are interesting and fun. Maybe I’ll go back and give the OG Dexter another try. Michael C. Hall (the OG Dex) narrates each episode too."
