Lady Revenger Returns From the Fire

"This drama had so much potential, but fell disappointing flat. The plot idea is interesting, but nothing in the show is well-developed. The characters are surface-level at best, and the show unfolds so quickly that there is no tension. The first episode is actually the best episode of the entire show. All of the actors did a great job, but the male leads character adds nothing to the show. Wei Zhe Ming is such a phenomenal actor that it seems like a waste to give him such a role…. He is supposed to be this cold-hearted general and the writers wrote him as a lovesick puppy. Plus, his wig is the completely wrong color and doesn’t match the rest of his hair😭 I will say that the leads had good chemistry, which is expected considering they have worked together before. The cliffhanger ending was also interesting, but could have had more of an impact if the plot had been explored more. Overall, I’d say this drama was meh. Could have been a lot better, but it also could have been worse. I’d give it a 5/10"
