"Just started this series. So far non stop action. I've never played the game, but show seems pretty cool."

"A nice alternate adaptation of the Halo games series, giving you a view of both sides of the Covenant War with some twists and turns different from the main game and book universe! Worth watching if you are a fan of sci-fi and mystery!"

"I'm a little late to the party with this one, I had just recently subscribed to Paramount+ and totally forgot to add this to my watch list. But I'm glad I remembered to check it out because I loved it. I never played the game, but I thought they did a great job with the set designs, costumes, CGI, world building and the overall aesthetics. I'm also glad to see Pablo Schreiber in the role as Master Chief. I always thought he was underrated as an actor, so it's good to see him land a character he could sink his teeth into. I binged watched season one in 3 days, and now can't wait for season 2. I give it an 8.5/10."

"I remember season 1 was ok, if a little underwhelming. I waited til all episodes of season 2 were released and binged it. It is incredible. The only video game I played regularly, the budget got upped and they put it to good use. Pablo Schreiber is terrific as Master Chief, and super jacked. Awesome and plentiful action sequences, great special effects, the plot is kinda trippy and really good, and a cool supporting cast. With it being on Paramount+, I hope a lot of people see it. "

"has the cinematographic aestheticism of a radio shack commercial. "

"I really liked this show. It did a good job of pulling certain aspects from the game. It’s nonstop action with great character development. In some ways it reminds me of the mandalorian. I can’t wait for season 2. I would definitely give this show a 9/10."

"This show is about as loyal to the original source material as Sylvester Stallone was in Judge Dredd. In an age where we have Detective Pikachu and TWO Sonic the Hedgehog movies, how are we still allowing desperation and disrespect like this like it’s still 2004. If you’ve played the games, go back and play them again—read the novels, if you can. At least those are accurate. "

"Worst Halo game yet! Why doesn’t Master chief wear his helmet any more?! No body wants to see that! #video_games #action "

"+ Season one surprised me in a big way. After the first episode I was convinced it would be a brutal, live-action version of the game, but to my surprise it was strongly story-oriented. It dealt a lot with characters and their traumas and motivations for why they do what they do. They have relationships and secrets and ambitions, but also yearnings
(-) I do think there are times when it doesn't take full advantage of its deeper human elements and does lean a bit on a good guy vs. bad guy mentality. Perhaps as the series continues it can shed that skin and be even deeper.
So far: A surprisingly awesome scifi character study that asks questions about our humanity while providing a great space adventure. It can feature a polarizing mindset concerning the characters, but considering it could have gone down a heavy, violent, videogame route it rises above this limitation. A good scifi show to start with season 1."
