"I’m really only finally watching this because my brother is obsessed with it. And it’s not um too bad. Their is a weird tone to the show and that I don’t know how to explain. It’s hard to take serious moments seriously. Which is a problem when this show is trying so little it seems. When the you have out of nowhere dialogue sometimes, and all around strange moments happening. The acting is very all over the place. This show is really just talking talking talking. I’m very confused on how I feel about this show. It being a netflix I’m not surprised. Netflix shows are very all around strange."

I honestly don’t understand why this show gets hated on so much. I get that it can be triggering for some viewers, but the show just has so many different elements to it. Mental health, grief, the school system and relationship struggles. I loved so many of the characters and there were so many plot twists and moments that had me shocked. The ending will always bring tears to my eyes it was just so good. "

"So I personally have mixed feelings about this series. Took me years to actually watch it. Not because of the context —i heard it was “glorifying issues.” That being said.. the first 2 seasons were great! Great in the aspect of real, raw, emotional, heartbreaking, betrayal and overall highschool/teenage life. After the two seasons, I believe the series should have ended. The last 2 are pathetic. I want to think this extremely far-fetched; but is it, really? Highschool was bad back in the day. 2022 it’s even worse! ITS AWFUL! HORRID! People are so mean to each other in general, let alone at such a young age. So overall, I would have to say this was a decent series! The actors really came together, more so a family, have empathy, reminded viewers there is help out there.. Definitely a one and done though 🫣✋🏼 7/10 (only because seasons 3-4 were pathetic. "

"In all fairness to the show, I only made it through episode 1 of season 2 so my hope is that my problems with it were addressed in later episodes/seasons. It started out strong and I was encouraged to see a show that had a purpose. But by the end of season one, the focus seemed to drift from pointing out issues to simply expounding on drama. By season two, it’s clear that no resolutions or solutions are to be offered anytime soon. Rather, the show simply extrapolates on the pain and suffering involved with no hope or end in sight. With no solutions provided or even hinted at, the purpose then seems to only be for entertainment value and money making, just drawing the drama out as long as possible. I was utterly disappointed and disgusted. "
