A coming-of-age story about an outsider who, against all odds and numerous challenges, fights for love and acceptance and for her place in the world. The series centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890’s, who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, is mistakenly sent to live with an elderly woman and her aging brother. Over time, 13-year-old Anne will transform their lives and eventually the small town in which they live with her unique spirit, fierce intellect and brilliant imagination.

It was such a beautifully constructed show that made Anne of Green Gables have a little bit of a bite which I thought was brilliant! With lessons of loving yourself despite the circumstances you were put in and always looking on the bright side of things. This show was extremely heartwarming but was never shy about things being hard it always could make me cry from pure happiness or intense sadness. I’ll always morn how short lived it was. "

"Was thrilled when this came out bc Anne of Green Gables is my favored series from my childhood and the movies staring Megan Fellows were timeless. Imagine my surprise when early on the show deviated completely from the books and jumped right off the train tracks! I’m too much of a purist to be able to keep watching it but if o don’t have the back story of the books and original movies, I’m sure I would like the show. I just couldn’t get with it, nor who they chose to play Anne. "
