"I actually like this. At first, I didn't want to sully my view of Sheldon, but this show is very good, and I don't really focus on his character as much. Weird I know. Since I had a Texas upbringing, a lot of the situations are interesting and familiar to me. The series end made me cry even though I knew what was coming. Recommended. "

"At first I thought I was a lot like Sheldon. We do have some similarities. He can be a massive jerk and spoiled brat sometimes though. That just made him unlikeable. The stuff with his dad was rushed and the last 2 episodes were just depressing. Horrible way to end the show. If you watch it skip the last 3 episodes. You are not missing any major plot points. If you've watched the other show, you already know what happens. "

"As this series wraps up, I am a bit shocked at how much I ended up truly loving it. With Annie Potts (Meemaw), Zoey Perry (mother), Lance Barber (father), Wallace Shawn and Ed Begley Jr (the hilarious professors), it’s proved to be quite hard to go wrong. I can already tell how upset I’ll be at the end. You certainly don’t have to be a Big Bang fan to appreciate this show, it’s a pretty different vibe, and grown Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is the only BBT cast member involved (and only as a voice-over). Simply a very sweet, thoughtful, and endearing account of their fictional experiences in early 90s small town Texas, this sitcom checks all the right formulaic boxes in good way."
